Room basic but clean, comfortable and well equipped - very good for the price. Good facilities on site.
Despite confirmed booking were 'bumped' to dorm for second night due to 'overbooking' - fine for family or backpackers but not mature couple. Were however transferred to sister hotel for night. A pleasant but long walk into town and taxi quite expensive - shuttle bus does not work evenings.

Value for money compared to other accommodation in Alice Springs, quiet relaxed atmosphere. Friendly staff, feeding the wallabies. Lovely meals at a very good price. Having a supermarket/bottleshop close at hand, close to the airport.
Low water pressure in the shower.

Liked the location and being near the wallabies. Our room was comfortable, clean and the staff very friendly. Also appreciated the shuttle bus service prior to our hiring a car. We liked it so much we booked an extra night and stayed three nights instead of two.
Nothing we disliked.

Friendly staff, good atmosphere, adorable wallabies with generous amount of wallaby food for $1.
The mattress was a bit old and uncomfortable, the hotel is too far from the town centre if you don't have your own transport.

During a trip through W.QLD,N.T.,and S.A. we would rank your heavitree gap lodge No 1. The confirmation is through the fact that we filled out the 'manager's form' because you have more facillities than another motel unit we have stayed in over twenty years of travelling.

Clean, comfortable room complete with toaster and microwave. Friendly, helpful staff. Booked for one night and ended up staying 4. Good, cheap meals at the bistro. Also a very well laid out campground.
A long way from the centre of town. Could be a problem if you do not have a car although the lodge does supply a shuttle bus.

That I had the whole room to myself for $25 a night, working air-conditioner and cooking facilities really helped me.
There were a lot of bugs flying around though I was more worried about mosquitoes, I opened the door to let out all the flies and bugs and set the air conditioning to cold which helped kept them out. One of the bunk bed had a piece missing from the bottom so it would have been uncomfortable to sleep in if someone had used it, I just avoided it. Finally the toilets weren't flushed, I had to hold down the level a little longer so that the toilet will eventually "swallow".

The Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge rooms were large and clean.
The Lodge was a little bit too far from town.
